 "great for active mums" 2009-06-21
By sarah (USA)
I used this pump every day from the day my milk came in. I take it to work, I take it on trips. It works great and fast. It's easy to clean. I love it and will continue to breastfeed for longer than I expected because I have this pump.

I have never had issues due to not being able to empty the breasts completely. The suction is sufficient.

Not so good:

1. The lid that covers the tubing does not shut properly, eventually it breaks. But the replacement is cheap.

2. The power adapter is very heavy. I got a new one for about $15 that is lighter and works with different voltage inputs (Europe/US).

 "Very comfortable" 2009-04-05
By J. Tilonsky (MD)
This breast pump was actually pretty comfortable to use. I'd tried the Medela single manual breast pump and that really didn't work out for me. Then I tried the Ameda Purely Yours but it was very awkward. You have to actually hold those in place with your hands. The Playtex is designed a bit better. The backs of the actual pumps is flat, so you can use one arm across the back of both to hold them in place. It frees up one hand to read a book or use the remote or something along those lines. I did like the suction of the Ameda a little more, but honestly, I'd rather have the comfort and spend a minute or two more sitting there.

"Better off investing in a more expensive, better quality pump" 2009-03-18
By K. Abrokwa
I recently returned to work and bought this pump to use while at work to be able to provide breastmilk for my daughter at day care. However, this pump is very inefficient. The cups often rub and chaf my skin (very painful) and I only get 4-5 oz COMBINED after pumping both breast for 15 min each. With a good quality pump, I should be able to get 6 oz out of each breast after 15 min. If I had to do it over again, I would have splurged on a Modela pump. In fact, I bought a manual pump made by Modela and get better results from it. If it weren't for the pain the manual pump causes in my hands, I would prefer to use it on a daily basis.

 "My favorite pump yet" 2008-11-14
By C. Lewis
When I had my daughter, I used both an Ameda Purely Yours pump and a hospital pump. I bought this one while I was pregnant with my son, and I like it so much better. Normally, I'm a large C, but while nursing I swell up to a D. The cups on the previous pumps I used were always too small and left my nipples feeling really sore, even after months of pumping and nursing. The massaging cups on this pump are so much easier on my breasts. They never feel sore after pumping and I'm able to get more milk in less time with this pump. I also like that it comes with a car charger. I haven't needed it yet, but it's a handy thing to have. If there's anything about this system that I'd change it would be more storage bottles.

 "Awesome pump" 2008-10-10

I absolutely love this pump. Its amazing. Would recommend it to anyone. I can easily pump 4 to 6 oz. Saved me from having to use formula to supplement.
