I leaked a lot the first few months I nursed, but the leakage has slowed down quite a bit, so these work fine for me. When I did leak a lot I found that Johnsons, Medela, and Lansinoh were adequate. But these are fine for me now. Every brand I tried had good and bad qualities, so you probably just have to try each brand until you get one you like. I'm not that picky with nursing pads since I don't leak so heavily anymore.
These Gerber Ultra Thin are just that: thin, flat circles. They are comfortable, lightweight, absorbent for light to medium leakage, don't irritate my breasts, and stay in place. They don't show through in most of my clothes except for my tighter fitting shirts like my Glamourmom nursing tanks and my Nike FitDry running shirts.
Since my leakage isn't heavy anymore and I am not faithful to one brand of nursing pads, I usually just get the brand I have a coupon for or that are on sale. These work as well as any.

I used these pads out of desperation when I got home from the hospital with my daughter becasue my sister ran to the store and bought the first thing she saw...big mistake! These pads do not function for a variety of reasons. One, they are flat, not coutoured like the Lansinoh pads. Therefore when it molds to your breast there are little puckers all around the edge and it CAN be seen through your shirt. Secondly, these pads are not absorbant! Any milk that leaks out will run right over the pad to the very edge. And since the pad is not flat against your skin it will find the gaps and leak out onto your bra! Terrible design and product.
After two days of having to wash my nuring bras every night I got the Lansinoh pads and haven't had one leak since! Those pads are contoured and SUPER absorbant! I would recommend them over the Gerber brand any time to anyone who asks!

These pads are probably the worst on the market. I've tried several kinds, and this pad is the only one that consistently leaked. I can't tell you how many times I looked down to see a small stain on my blouse. They DO NOT do the job they are designed to do! Spend a little extra on the Lansinoh pads and you will not be sorry.

With all the bad reviews, I wonder if people are putting them on the wrong side. I find these to be absorbent enough for day to day usage. They are not the workhorse that Lanisoh is (if I needed all day coverage at the expense of comfort), but they are the most like cotton and very comfortable. I would recommend these for after your milk supply regulates. I definitely soaked through these in the beginning but don't seem to have a problem now.

I have used a variet of nursing pads and these have to be the worst! I may as well stuff kleenex in my bra. I opened the box today after running out of my usual brand and after just the first feeding on one side, the padded side of my shirt was soaked. I thought I must have put it in wrong, so I double checked the box, changed clothes and tried again. Another big mess. This box of pads is going straight to the trash. I have resorted to putting maxi pads in my bra over night. Yuck.
