This product may be right for you if like me, you tried keeping up with pumping and caring for your newborn on your own while your spouse had to return to work and your family had to go home. Rather than stress and tire yourself out pumping and washing and storing, try this SNS. I had been pumping and washing and storing and it ran me down so that my milk supply was on the decline. My baby had been introduced to a bottle at about 2 weeks because she was sleepy at the breat do to being small (6 lbs 4 oz) at birth. Her ped said to bottle feed or they would have her hospitalized. (THIS WAS ALL AFTER HAVING BEEN TOLD SHE HAD A PERFECT LATCH AT THE HOSPITAL) I wish I had had the courage to ask for this then and she never would have had a bottle at all. Oh well, we all learn. :) The bottle created a flow problem and she would get fussy at the breast waiting for the let down. Causing her to suckle poorly, further reducing the milk supply. NOW - with the SNS we have restored a high milk supply and she stays awake at the breast. MOST IMPORTANTLY - our feeding time is RELAXED AND ENJOYABLE for both of us. She has always preferred breast milk so I am glad that we were able to try this and have some success. Be aware, you may feel frustrated with this at first as it can be cumbersome, but don't give up, it will help in the long run. I find it best to wear under my shirt and have the tubes positioned correctly and secured before picking her up. Babies are not born with patience so you want to be ready when they are. GOOD LUCK!!!

Very hard to get setup and use ... hard to get the thing in the baby's mouth, not sure this is worth the effort. Not sure it really does anything. Definitely more expensive than it is worth.

After I went back to work my little one got used to the bottle. When I would try breast feeding her she would turn away and cry (wanting the bottle). I was afraid that my milk supply would go down so I used this item, only a few times, to trick her into staying on the breast to stimulate my milk supply. I now only have to use it on occasion. I recommend any mother who has low milk supply or a fussy baby wanting the bottle to USE THIS ITEM!

I have struggled with nursing my children due to injury to my breasts but this works well to help my milk supply I pump then use the milk in the SNS the next time I nurse and after I am done nursing him I pump again for next time I have gotten to the point the baby seems satisfied when I nurse him away from home and not using the SNS I am so grateful to be able to nurse him. I hope to be able to nurse him exclusively until he is one, and with the help of the SNS I think I will be able to.

I recently had my first child and was dedicated to breastfeeding. Unfortunately, due to a breast reduction surgery I had in the past my milk supply has been low. I do make almost enough milk and found the idea of giving up breastfeeding all together devestating. The nipple confusion that can come with giving a bottle is very real, not to mention how upset my daughter got when I would have to stop in the middle of feeding her to go make up the bottle. With this, I can fix the supplement in the beginning, feed it to her while breastfeeding, and we are both happy and comfortable...and she is getting the nutrition she needs with the bonding of breastfeeding.
